In the Asian market, which is growing in importance, wpd currently has offices in eight exciting markets – in Taiwan, in Korea, in Japan and in Vietnam as well as in Mongolia, on the Philippines and in Indonesia. The so-called APAC region (Asia Pacific) is one of wpd’s largest growth markets. The company has been operating principally in its core market of Taiwan since 2005 and is now continuing its success story with its first project in Japan, which is currently being implemented. In the region, wpd is currently running onshore projects with a volume of 510 MW through collaborations, solar projects with 18 MWp and driving a pipeline of 2,605 MW onshore as well as 245 MWp of solar energy projects.
