In March already, the wind park developer and operator wpd has begun with the construction of two smaller-scale wind farm projects in Poland. The S?upca wind farm (4.8 MW, Enercon E82 and E53) is situated in the voivodship of Greater Poland, the Czy?ewo wind farm (6 MW, Gamesa G90) in the voivodship of Lebus. Both parks are to be connected to the grid in summer. 
\n\u0093We are happy to be able to finance, construct and operate the first wind farms in Poland now. This means that wpd\u0092s long-term engagement abroad is paying off in yet another country\u0094, rejoices Dr. Hartmut Br\u00f6samle, CEO in charge. wpd\u0092s activities in Poland are conducted via a 50 % share in DOMREL, which holds a project portfolio with more that 1,000 MW in tangible projects.
\nCountry manager-in-charge Markus Jansen is sure \u0093that until the end of 2012, we will surely establish four to six projects more on a similar scale. These pilot projects will help us to professionally implement larger wind parks which are projected on a mid-term basis.\u0094

Key facts wpd:
<\/b>wpd is operator and developer of installations for the generation of renewable energies with a clear focus on wind power, operating in 20 countries worldwide. In total, the company has carried out projects with around 1,400 turbines and an output of 2,1 GW. Currently wpd is planning projects with 7,000 MW in total. More over, the group is one of Europe\u0092s leading offshore developer with a pipeline of 10,000 MW.  One of the first commercial offshore wind plants Baltic I, attended by wpd, has been built last year. wpd develops offshore projects in Germany, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, France and Italy.
