wpd\u0092s offshore project Baltic I (21×2,5 MW Nordex N90) 15km north of the island Dar\u00df in the German Baltic Sea is proceeding as planned towards the construction in 2009:
\nwpd has chosen Ballast Nedam as preferred contractor for the project\u0092s foundations. Ballast Nedam will be responsible for the foundations\u0092 design and supply as well as the installation with their heavy lifting vessel \u0093Svanen\u0094. An Agreement regarding time schedule and reservation of long-lead items has been signed last week. Construction is scheduled for the First of January 2009.
\nwpd has further selected A2SEA taking care of the installation of the 21 Nordex-turbines. A reservation agreement for A2SEA\u0092s installation vessel has been signed last week. The vessel is available for the project as of First of July 2009.
