The management contract with Dr. Hartmut Br\u00f6samle was prolonged for a further five years at the beginning of December. The Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Dr. Klaus Meier, welcomed this development: \u0093As a member of the Management Board Dr. Hartmut Br\u00f6samle has, over the course of the past eight years, been crucially responsible for the successful development and international expansion of wpd. We are therefore pleased to have him with us for a further five years.\u0094<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Hartmut Br\u00f6samle is a graduate information and systems scientist. In all, he has gathered about 20 years of experience working in leading positions in the wind energy industry. At wpd the 50-year-old is the Management Board Member responsible for world-wide project development and the construction of the onshore projects.<\/p>\n<p><b>About wpd<\/b><br \/>wpd develops and operates onshore and offshore wind farms, and is actively engaged in 17 countries around the world; the head office is in Bremen. The company has already realised wind power projects with around 1,700 turbines and an output of 3,000 megawatts, and is planning further onshore projects with a total of 6,700 megawatts.
