As a member of wpd\u2019s Management Board for over 16 years, he has played a pivotal role in the company\u2019s successful growth, and besides his fruitful work in the company\u2019s home market of Germany, he has spearheaded its expansion in numerous European countries as well as in Chile.<\/p>\n<p>His management board contract was extended for a further five years at the turn of the year.<\/p>\n<p>Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Dr. Klaus Meier, expressed his pleasure, commenting as follows: \u201cAs a member of the Management Board, Dr. Hartmut Br\u00f6samle has been a key factor in wpd\u2019s success and he enjoys our full confidence. We look forward to continuing to work together in the coming years.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Hartmut Br\u00f6samle has a doctorate in Computer Science and System Science. In total he has over 25 years of experience in managerial positions in the wind sector. At wpd, he will in future be responsible for the development and implementation of projects in Europe and South America.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>About wpd<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As a developer and operator of wind and solar farms, wpd is one of the market leaders in Germany. The company was founded in 1996 and it currently has 14 offices in Germany with its headquarters in Bremen. IRPP business comprises projects in its own portfolio with a total capacity of almost 2,300 MW of which almost 1,000 MW are in Germany.
