Since 2019, we have been using a professional computation program that ensures that we register the data in accordance with the internationally recognised standard of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol.\r\n\r\nThis means that we recorded data from 29 countries, 78 offices and nearly 1,300 employees. The emissions calculated for our office locations for 2024 were fully offset by our climate protection projects.\r\n\r\nAccounting for our internal CO<sub>2<\/sub> emissions will be maintained on this scale every year. weiss    a:3:{i:0;s:11:&#8221;text-normal&#8221;;i:1;s:21:&#8221;two_colums_text_image&#8221;;i:2;s:11:&#8221;text-normal&#8221;;} Climate footprint calculator &#038; method The CO<sub>2<\/sub> calculator of <em>Klimaktiv<\/em>\u00a0is used to compute our CO<sub>2<\/sub> footprint. It has been specially adapted to the company structure of wpd GmbH. Among other things, this requires individual emission factors to be stored for each of the countries in which wpd GmbH operates to ensure that no averages are included in the calculation. This enables a reliable, realistic result to be obtained. The calculator is naturally based on international standards and norms (Greenhouse Gas Protocol, ISO 14064-1). Beyond that, we are also engaged in Guatemala in a reforestation project, and in Pakistan in a solar lamps project.
