Your path from farmer or forester to "energy farmer":
As a land owner, you will make profit from leasing your land parcels for wind energy by interesting and secure payments. Development and operation of the wind farm are in the economic responsibility of wpd. Use of the land, be it for agricultural or forestry use, will still be possible. There will be no cost or risk for you.

We will be happy to respond to your individual wishes and we will develop a tailor-made concept together with you, for example contractual clauses adjusted to fit special local circumstances or a concept for operating the turbines yourselves.

For us it is important to work closely with you. Project development is conducted locally in our offices throughout Germany. This is where you will find your contacts who will look after your project through all its phases up to commissioning.

Responsibility remains with us even after commissioning: we operate our turbines ourselves and we are at the ready during the operational phase and even when it's time for dismantling or repowering after 20 years of operating time.
