The wpd group was founded in 1996 with the objective of drawing up projects for wind farms in Germany. We are the market leader nowadays and have completed projects with an output of 2.5 gigawatts. We will be pursuing an important pipeline of 6.7 GW onshore and 10 GW offshore during the coming years. Nevertheless, in recent years the focus has increasingly been placed abroad, with the wpd group nowadays planning projects from South America to Asia. 860 of our staff are committed to the continuous development of renewable energies.

The wpd group has been awarded the first-class ‘A’ rating by the agency of Euler Hermes (Allianz Group) for years. This external assessment of quality also illustrates our company´s very good future prospects, besides the positive status quo analysis.
