Argentina
Argentina is an interesting market; whereby the unsatisfied demand for investments in the energy sector is considerable. Only 110 MW of wind power has been installed throughout the country up to now. The energy sector in Argentina has been recognised as a future market and investors are positioning themselves through strategic complementary purchases. The Argentinean government has legally anchored the subsidy of renewable energies. According to that, 8 % of the energy generation shall come from renewable sources by the year of 2016.
The wpd group maintains one office in Buenos Aires. Projects with an output of more than 500 MW are being developed at the moment.
