Purchase of turbines
The purchase of turbines is planned and carried out in close coordination with the developers responsible for the country and the project. The focus is on the long-term reliability and cost-effectiveness of the turbine. That is why we rely solely on mature technology provided by renowned manufacturers.
In making the selection, the following questions have to be clarified: what type of turbine is best suited to the particular location, is reliably available for the time when it is needed and can be financed and insured? We also check whether the necessary structures exist for services and repairs or can be created.
To assess the cost-effectiveness of a turbine for the particular location, the cost of acquisition, performance curve, availability and noise emissions of the turbine have to be set against the prevailing wind speeds in the location. The expected running costs also play a significant role. These consist mainly of maintenance, servicing and repair costs throughout the lifetime of the turbine.
