Construction planning / Approval process
After the potentially suitable areas have been reviewed from a planning and nature conservation point of view, planning implementation is initiated with subsequent support for all approval procedures.
If required, regional planning procedures and proceedings to obtain permission to deviate from planning objectives are carried out and construction and area usage plans produced. Thereafter we draw up the application documents in accordance with the Federal Immissions Control Act, and initiate and manage the associated approval procedure.
Due to the many issues and legal areas affected by wind power systems, the application documents to be submitted are correspondingly extensive. Some of this material - especially such as the site plans - are produced in house by the CAD department, others are contributed by externally commissioned experts and by the manufacturer. The application procedure requires intensive management including the possible involvement of our in-house legal department or other technically qualified support.
All the planning steps are accompanied from a nature conservation perspective. In the process we draw up green space plans, landscape management plans, environmental impact studies and compatibility tests with regard to the fauna & flora habitat guideline. wpd will take on the coordination, management and supervision of the animal ecological technical reports for this planning work, and produce field of view analyses. At the same time we plan, manage and coordinate compensation measures and their implementation.
