Project construction and implementation
The wpd group undertakes the project management of the wind farm’s complete construction phase. In particular, implementation of the construction is agreed with the turbine suppliers, the heavy-duty haulage contractors, all of the participating statutory authorities, the land owners and the local farmers.
We undertake the design and execution planning of roads, cable routes and foundations. The commissioning of tenders, awarding of contracts and site management for the cable construction, interconnecting station and substations, as well as for the road works, foundation works and earthworks, take place in parallel. In addition, we undertake the site management according to the respective state’s building regulations, comply with health and safety standards and record the state of the project during every phase of construction.
We coordinate the cooperation with grid operators and telecommunication companies in parallel. We also initiate the cooperation with specialised engineers like geologists, structural engineers, auditing structural engineering, archaeologists and experts on wind turbines. We implement continuous controlling of the deadlines and budget during this phase. In addition, we draw up cost estimates and calculations, check the wind farm layouts as well as transport routes for feasibility.
