The wpd group has been developing wind power plants via its Stockholm office in Sweden since 2002, among which is the country’s largest approved wind farm at “Kriegers Flak”, with 128 turbines in the Baltic Sea off Sweden’s southern coast. The project was sold to the Vattenfall, a Swedish energy supplier, in 2005.

Nowadays, we are primarily concentrating on developing the “Storgrundet” (approved in 2010) and “Finngrunden” projects, which are optimally placed because of their close proximity to Stockholm’s high energy demand region.
