The wpd group has been developing offshore projects in Germany since 2000. We are Germany´s most successful developer, with four approved offshore projects. The projects “Baltic 1”, “Kriegers Flak”, “He Dreiht” and the “Hochseewindpark Hohe See” in the North Sea were sold to EnBW in 2008 and are being realized with the support of wpd offshore solutions.

The joint construction of the first German offshore wind farm Baltic 1 in the year 2010 has been an important milestone.

At present, the main focus of wpd is on the implementation of the Butendiek project, where construction is to begin in 2013.

Further the wpd is developing the offshore projects Aiolos, Kaikas and Notos in the North Sea, the consent of these projects is expected in the end of 2012.
