The wpd group has been developing the Paris office for offshore projects in France since 2007. Our offshore team was able to draw on the experience that we gained in France with our onshore activities since 2002. The portfolio of offshore projects that is being developed covers different regions and several wpd projects are basis for the zones of the offshore tenders in France.

A European consortium including wpd reached an important success as the results of the French offshore tender now have been released: With the wpd projects Courseulles-sur-Mer and Fécamp the bidding consortium including EDF, Alstom, DONG Energy and wpd were able to secure projects on a scale of some 1,000 MW.

A second round of French offshore tenders is expected to be awarded this year; this round also includes several wpd projects. However, a bidding consortium for the second round has yet to be established.
